Seven Killed, Three Injured in Midnight Shooting in Philippi East
Seven people have been shot and killed, while three others sustained injuries during a mass shooting that occurred shortly after midnight in Philippi East, Cape Town.
According to the South African Police Service, unknown gunmen opened fire at the scene before fleeing. Emergency services responded, but eight victims were declared dead on arrival, while three others were taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist in leading to the arrest of those responsible.
