Hlabisa Urges South Africans to Make Their Voices Heard Through Voting
Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) leader Velenkosini Hlabisa has urged South Africans to make their voices heard by voting in the upcoming Local Government Elections on 4 November 2026.
Hlabisa visited Tongaat on the final day of voter registration, where he engaged with members of the community and encouraged all eligible citizens to ensure they are registered to vote.
He said voting is one of the most effective ways for people to bring about change in their communities, as it gives them the opportunity to elect councillors who will represent their interests. According to Hlabisa, the councillors elected by residents have the responsibility of delivering services and driving positive change within local communities.
He further called on all eligible voters to take part in the elections on 4 November 2026, stressing that the future of their communities lies in their hands through the power of the ballot.
