Ramaphosa Calls for Greater Global Support for Teachers
President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on countries around the world to provide greater support for teachers, saying they are at the heart of transforming education.
Speaking at the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee meeting in Paris, France, Ramaphosa said teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of children and strengthening education systems worldwide.
He stressed that achieving global education goals will require better support for teachers, improved working conditions, and greater investment in their professional development.
Ramaphosa added that investing in teachers is an investment in the future, as they are key to building skilled, empowered, and successful generations.
