David Sejobe Crowdfunding Reaches R200K in Just Two Days
A crowdfunding campaign launched by MultiChoice HR in support of the Sejobe family has reached an impressive R200,000 in just two days, following the tragic passing of David Sejobe (49).
David died on Friday after he was fatally struck by a vehicle while on his way to work. Since then, the campaign has seen an overwhelming outpouring of support from South Africans whose lives were touched by his warmth, dedication, and legacy.
He was widely admired for his resilience, commitment to healthy living, and passion for cycling. A devoted long-distance cyclist, David once completed an extraordinary nearly 600km overnight ride from Johannesburg to Venda and back, in honour of his late father who taught him how to cycle. He also took part in several major cycling events, using sport as a way to motivate and inspire others.
Mourners continue to gather outside the MultiChoice Group building, paying tribute with flowers, hooters, and heartfelt messages, honouring a man remembered not only for his work, but for his humanity.
