Controversial and politically affiliated entrepreneur Brown Mogotsi escaped an assassination attempt in Vosloorus, located in the East Rand last night.
Sources suggest that unidentified assailants targeted his vehicle with gunfire.
Authorities are en route to the incident location.
Mogotsi’s name has frequently emerged in investigations regarding alleged corruption within the police force.
He faces allegations of engaging in illegal activities, interfering with SAPS operations, and financially supporting Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
Mogotsi’s business site underwent a search operation in the North West in October.
