According to the King’s Office, Inkosi Chiliza will serve as the King’s principal adviser on traditional matters and oversee the Office of the Traditional Prime Minister to ensure the continued functioning of the AmaZulu nation.
This is not the first time Reverend Buthelezi has been removed from the position. He was previously dismissed, later reinstated, and has now been removed from the role once again.
The King’s Office has not provided detailed reasons for the dismissal. However, it has called on members of the royal family, traditional leaders and the AmaZulu nation to support Inkosi Phathisizwe Chiliza as he assumes his new responsibilities.
