Accused Deny Allegations in Senzo Meyiwa Trial and Related Case
Developments continue in the high-profile Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, where accused number two, Bongani Ntanzi, has once again denied appointing a legal representative known as Mjiyakho.
In a separate but related development, Matiphandile Sotheni—who is facing allegations linked to the killing of a witness (Witness D) in the Madlanga Commission involving Marious Van de Merwe—has also denied all accusations against him.
Appearing before the Brakpan Magistrate Court, Sotheni stated:
*”I fully deny this. I have nothing to do with this matter. I wish to assist the court. This is the first time I am seeing this lawyer today. I am being misrepresented. My name is all over social media and is being tarnished.”*
The State has requested a postponement to allow for further investigations. The matter has been postponed and is expected to return to court on 14 May 2026.
