Gift of the Givers intensifies aid to flood-stricken communities in Limpopo
Humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers has intensified its relief operations in Limpopo following heavy flooding that has left widespread destruction across the province.
The floods have washed away roads and bridges in several districts, cutting off communities and making it difficult for emergency services and aid workers to access affected areas.
Despite these obstacles, the organisation has already started distributing hot meals, bottled water and other essential supplies to hundreds of residents impacted by the floods, including communities in Phalaborwa.
Gift of the Givers has confirmed that additional relief interventions are planned for Giyani,Vhembe and Sekhukhune, working closely with local disaster management authorities.
The organisation says it remains determined to reach even the most isolated communities as Limpopo continues to face the ongoing impact of extreme weather conditions.
