Search Underway for 11-Year-Old Girl Who Ran Away in Verulam
A search is underway for 11-year-old Ziningi Miya, who ran away from her mother for a second time on Friday afternoon in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the child was earlier located by a member of the public in the Verulam Central Business District and escorted to RUSA headquarters. She was reunited with her mother after reaction officers found a contact number inside a Bible that was in the child’s possession.
While travelling back home to Buffelsdraai, the child allegedly fled again when her mother stopped at a service station in Brindhaven.
Ziningi was last seen wearing a grey dress, black stockings, pink Nike takkies, and carrying a pink bag. Her family has indicated that the child has been troubled and requires spiritual intervention.
