KwaZulu-Natal, 12 December 2025 – Traffic volumes on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal are expected to rise significantly this weekend as the province prepares to welcome more than a million holidaymakers during the festive season.
The N3 Toll Concession has warned motorists to anticipate heavier-than-usual traffic and to plan their journeys accordingly.
Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa is leading a multi-disciplinary operation at the Mooi River toll plaza to ensure traffic flows smoothly and to enhance road safety during the busy period.
Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, obey traffic rules, and remain patient to avoid accidents on this major national route.
