ANC NEC Member David Makhura Condemns Corruption Within Party
South Africa, 11 December 2025 – ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) member David Makhura has strongly condemned large-scale corruption within the party, describing it as counter-revolutionary and urging leaders to take decisive action against those implicated.
Speaking at the ANC National General Council, Makhura said,
“This [National] General Council says corruption is counter-revolutionary, it is the enemy of the people.”
He emphasized that corruption undermines the party’s credibility and called on leadership to ensure accountability, reinforcing the party’s commitment to serving the people.
