Police arrest one suspect following mass shooting at Bronkhorstspruit Tavern
Police have made a major effort to arrest one of the two suspects involved in the deadly shooting at a Tavern near Tshwane.
The shooting occurred in Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025.
Six others were injured during the attack.
Gauteng police spokesperson Brenda Muridili said the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Investigations, working with members of the SAPS Bronkhorstpruit, raided the suspects on Tuesday.
“The suspect was arrested during a search operation on October 21, 2025 in Zithobeni, the township where the incident occurred, and will appear before the Bronkhorstpruit Magistrate’s Court on October 23, 2025, facing five counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder.
