Man shot dead in Turton Street, next to Daveyton Mall
A man travelling in a Chevrolet has been shot and killed on Turton & Eiselen street ,near Rite next to Daveyton Mall at round about 13:10 Midday.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim was seated inside his vehicle when unknown assailant(s) opened fire, striking him multiple times before fleeing the scene near the hostel. Witnesses report that allegedly nine shots were fired. The man was declared dead at the scene.
Emergency Medical Services are currently on site. Police are present and awaiting forensic teams to process the scene.Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as the road has been closed for more investigation .The motive for the shooting remains unknown at this stage, and no arrests have been confirmed.[Developing Story].
